The Salvation Army Penang Children's residential home provide love, care, shelter and protection to children's in the Penang state who comes from various background from orphanage, single parent with difficult financial support, etc.Our purpose-built, four-storey home shelter 50~60 children's from as young as 5 years of age to 18 years under our care.
All our referrals for admission are made to the Superintendent of the Home concerned.
There will be a board of reviewed that will carry out the eligibility of the child. We want to ensure only genuine cases are attend too accordingly.
With over 70 years of experience in the residential care, we are able too provide our children's with a normal family life ranging from education, social life, games, healthy food, drink, bedroom, computer facility, study room, clothing, shoes, house whole items, etc.
We also help them to apply for educational scholarship and job placements in the public society.
Beside that, we do counselling for the children and parents when need arises.It's been a great challenge in our mission. We have gone through many difficult challenges and we will continue to strives and press on our programmes here in Penang for as long as any children in the community need our care.
Over the years, we have care for many children's who has now become successful individual in business and professional level. They are now independent and having their own family. Some of them even bring their family back to vi st our home from time to time.
Our success stories would not be achieved if we are without GOD, the support of the volunteers, donors, sponsors and general public. We want to thank all of them from bottom of our heart.
